Thanks Alok for your unbiased elaborate mail. I fully endorse your views without any doubts. I too sincerely feel that for the people who are responsible to run the country the canteen needs to be free to avoid any argument on tea for Rs 1 or meal for Rs 2.

Pl. take it as friendly debate and no personal offecnce intended.

 

Pl. also let me know what is a salary of CEO of L& T,Seimens,Tata power, Reliance,ICICI bank etc etc. Parliament is a working place / office hours. Is not is or it a vacation place or home? During working hours/ board meeting/official conferences does any corporate pays from his / her pocket??

 

It is shame that parliamentarians r charged a token so they dont over indulge but the canteen shud be free.

 

A 30 yr old exec in multinational is getting car/phone/house/loan/air travel/ 5 stars/ etc etc for managing few crores/ few hundred staff here do we understand what all MP's r to manaage.Let everyone become a honest Chairman/ secretary of their own soc. to understand magnitude of work.

 

Let us  not raise petty issues. we can afford free canteen but not scams/ no incompetence/ non delivarance/non transperancy.

 

So ask for improvet RTI , ask for faster judicial system so corrupt can be jailed and so on.

 

I dont mind MPs getting 4 fold if they can make our country compete with china etc etc.
